In John’s own words– “John-ology”

I was looking at John’s FB page and came across this.  It was dated February 19, 2009.  (To give you a context- John found the lump on his neck- which made him stage IV on February 21st, so this was taken after his stage III, when we thought he was healthy.)  John rarely did the FB surveys, so it is a little outside of his norm.  I thought for those of you who don’t know John, it would give you a little look at his life.  For those of you who do know John– it will either bring a smile to your face or a tear to your eyes– for me it did both.

About Mary K. Smith

I was widowed in July 2009, when I lost my beloved husband, John, to melanoma. Cancer SUCKS. We have a young son who was just a year old when his father died. I live on a small farm in Maryland which is home to horses, cats, and a dog. I started this blog as a way for me to heal, a way to remember my husband, and eventually I'd like to share it with our son so he can see the love that his father had for him, the love that we had for each other, what a great person his father was, and how hard his father fought to live.
