“Looking for a Lifeline”

Song:  Liveline Artist:  Papa Roach (click to watch on You Tube for the video)

I’ve told you that I just seem to hear pieces of songs lately.  Certain songs have really been sticking in my head.  I can remember where I was when I heard them and odd stuff like that.

I remember following behind the ambulance headed to the ER in the middle of the night and this song coming on.  I remember just thinking… “we need our lifeline.”  “Come on lifeline.”

Ironically, this was the same song that was playing on my first day back to work as I pulled into the parking lot.

Yep… even though John is gone, I’m still, “looking for a lifeline.”

About Mary K. Smith

I was widowed in July 2009, when I lost my beloved husband, John, to melanoma. Cancer SUCKS. We have a young son who was just a year old when his father died. I live on a small farm in Maryland which is home to horses, cats, and a dog. I started this blog as a way for me to heal, a way to remember my husband, and eventually I'd like to share it with our son so he can see the love that his father had for him, the love that we had for each other, what a great person his father was, and how hard his father fought to live.
