All Saints Sunday at Eastport United Methodist Church

John will be one of the people recognized at Eastport United Methodist Church‘s All Saints Day Celebration on Sunday, Nov 1st. They will read names, project a photo, and ring a bell for church members and friends lost over the last year. Services are at 9 & 10:30 AM for anybody interested.  Nathaniel, my friend, Kari, & I plan to attend.

I hope afterward to go visit the fire station(s).  I think it is good for Nathaniel to learn about where his daddy worked and what he did for a living.  I hope that John’s co-workers, who choose to, will be a part of Nathaniel’s life.

About Mary K. Smith

I was widowed in July 2009, when I lost my beloved husband, John, to melanoma. Cancer SUCKS. We have a young son who was just a year old when his father died. I live on a small farm in Maryland which is home to horses, cats, and a dog. I started this blog as a way for me to heal, a way to remember my husband, and eventually I'd like to share it with our son so he can see the love that his father had for him, the love that we had for each other, what a great person his father was, and how hard his father fought to live.
