Looking to the sky for answers…

I frequently find myself looking to the sky… I guess I hope I’ll see some answers from above or John sending his love from Heaven.

On the day of John’s viewing, he sent a rainbow over “his” ladder truck to let us know he was all right.

The rainbow that John sent to let us know that he's okay.

On February 13th, my friend, Crystal, lost her husband, Mark.  His viewing was today.  I found myself looking to the sky yet again.  Looking for answers… looking for a sign…

I wonder if Mark had turned the sky into his canvas and painted such beautiful skies!

The sky was so breathtaking, I had to pull over to take some photos.

The blues, the whites, the highlights... it was just stunning 2-19-10

I wished my eyes could be lenses on the world and just capture the sky perfectly. 2-19-10

Today, the picturesque skies left me with a sense of peace.  It made me feel like John and Mark are looking over us… and with the two of them as guardian angels, we should all be in fine shape.

About Mary K. Smith

I was widowed in July 2009, when I lost my beloved husband, John, to melanoma. Cancer SUCKS. We have a young son who was just a year old when his father died. I live on a small farm in Maryland which is home to horses, cats, and a dog. I started this blog as a way for me to heal, a way to remember my husband, and eventually I'd like to share it with our son so he can see the love that his father had for him, the love that we had for each other, what a great person his father was, and how hard his father fought to live.
