Isn’t it ironic

9:11 & 11:09

Both John and I had our eyes glance for no reason at the clock at 9:11.  Neither of us were clock watchers.

Well, recently 11:09 has been catching my attention as well.  November 9th was John’s birthday.

On Friday, while at working, my computer internet window crashed at 9:11- however, unlike 9-11-01 my computer was recovered by 9:13.

Breeders Cup Classic

Zenyatta with her perfect 19 wins and 0 losses was going to run her last race in the Breeder’s Cup Classic… against the boys… if she could win 20 undefeated, it would seal her ranks in history and many arguably said she would be the greatest race horse in history.  Instead a horse named Blame stole the stage beating her by less than a head.  Ironic that a horse named Blame would steal her perfect record.  Reminiscent of the only time that the great Man o’ War was beaten… it was to a horse named Upset.

About Mary K. Smith

I was widowed in July 2009, when I lost my beloved husband, John, to melanoma. Cancer SUCKS. We have a young son who was just a year old when his father died. I live on a small farm in Maryland which is home to horses, cats, and a dog. I started this blog as a way for me to heal, a way to remember my husband, and eventually I'd like to share it with our son so he can see the love that his father had for him, the love that we had for each other, what a great person his father was, and how hard his father fought to live.
