Photo a Day, 12-14-10

Well, first a Happy Birthday to my Daddy!!!  But he’s not here for a photo…

Reminder- Taking care of horses in winter, is fun! 12-14-10

Keep repeating… eventually you can trick yourself into believing it… or your brain freezes and you just don’t care anymore.

I did the eyes the field of multicolored horses did the mouth. They got t lecture last night about keeping water from freezing solid… at least they listened about something… i t was a beet pulp and carrying warm water buckets sort of day. Then they all got their feet done… can I just say… to whomever invented coveralls- I LOVE YOU!!! My ears are still not right from the cold this AM.

Honestly, I love my horses and although taking care of them in the winter (or Maryland 90 degree heat and 90 degree humidity) is not the most pleasant… they’re worth it.

About Mary K. Smith

I was widowed in July 2009, when I lost my beloved husband, John, to melanoma. Cancer SUCKS. We have a young son who was just a year old when his father died. I live on a small farm in Maryland which is home to horses, cats, and a dog. I started this blog as a way for me to heal, a way to remember my husband, and eventually I'd like to share it with our son so he can see the love that his father had for him, the love that we had for each other, what a great person his father was, and how hard his father fought to live.
