“Fireman’s Prayer” by Plainfolk

Okay, if you haven’t heard this one, and even if you have, you may want to get out your kleenex.

The song is by Plainfolk and the video here is the CD if you’re interested.

This song is one of the ones that Mary Ann Kyte used for the slideshows that she created from John’s funeral photos.

My new mini quest has been working on creating a tribute section for John on our website www.leakycreek.com. It has been a very emotional undertaking for me.  I can only work at it for so long before dissolving into a puddle of tears.  Words can’t express how much I miss John.  I also am operating without my ‘computer guy.’  So, I’ve enlisted Charlie and James for support.  When it comes to technical things I’m just pretty much worthless.

So far, I’ve added a separate section and have the funeral photos up.

Then I ran into the challenge of finding a site that will allow me to upload the slide shows since they are over 10 minutes long.

About Mary K. Smith

I was widowed in July 2009, when I lost my beloved husband, John, to melanoma. Cancer SUCKS. We have a young son who was just a year old when his father died. I live on a small farm in Maryland which is home to horses, cats, and a dog. I started this blog as a way for me to heal, a way to remember my husband, and eventually I'd like to share it with our son so he can see the love that his father had for him, the love that we had for each other, what a great person his father was, and how hard his father fought to live.
